62144 Powr-Flo TBI Spacer

(2 customer reviews)

The Powr-Flo spacers bore is designed to increase the velocity of the air flow into the intake manifold .By delivering the air with more velocity it allows more air into the combustion chamber for a denser air charge. The design results in improved throttle response and impressive power gains in the mid range and top end. In addition, the increased air flow results in improved overall fuel efficiency. Simple, bolt-on installation with no other vehicle modifications required. Compatible with other aftermarket upgrades such as computer upgrades, cold air intakes, free flow exhaust systems, etc. Precision machined out of billet aluminum by JETs in house CNC machine shop.

Super easy to install. I did this in conjunction with the 76113 Throttle Body in about 15 mins. I saw an increase in gas MPG right away with this combo. My old throttle sensor was bad and my MPG went from about 13 max to 17.

Installed this spacer with Jet Performance throttle body #76113 and got check engine lights with transmission issues. Although I followed instructions for the Throttle body calibration about disconnecting the battery for 5 min, turning the ignition on, then slowly pressing and releasing on the gas pedal, the car begins to shake after a minute or two after I turn it on. Then the exhaust starts sounding as if it’s cammed. ETC light comes on as well. I tried everything: tightening everything and making sure all the plug-in cables are properly connected, but still na-da. Turns out the spacer was causing too much of a vacuum leak. I ordered from AmericanMuscle. I do believe I have both of them in the right position. . I did watch videos and diagrams on the placement of the throttle body and spacer. If there’s a way to fix this or if I’m doing something wrong, I’ll be glad to take the feedback. Thank you.

Hello Anthony, yea from what I am reading here, sounds like there might be a couple missteps. Unplugging the battery in the beginning of your overall process in removing and installing the items is the first step. Then doing the removal of the old items and installing the new. Plugging all the wires back in and then reattaching the battery. For the relearn, you need to turn the ACC on (turning the key in the ignition to only have the electronics on) then pressing the gas pedal to the flower and slowly letting up 4-5 times in a row so the computer knows where idle and open throttle is. Then you can turn the ignition all the way over to start the engine. This can take a couple times but, usually it does not. Then go for a regular drive to continue to let the computer relearn the new items on the engine.
